pretty much the primary reason to going to south australia was to go to kangaroo island. there are a number of parks on the island and rather than separate them out i’ve just lumped them together under the heading of kangaroo island (ki).

there are a set of eroded rocks here called Remarkable Rocks. they are pretty odd. its was a cloudy day when i visited so the lighting is pretty flat. i returned a few days later when i had better light. those pics later.

made of granite.

visited a seal colony. there was a ranger rick type there who gave tours, mostly to keep people from getting too close. she asked if i had ever seen seals before. i told her yes, but the last time i saw one it was in a stew pot in newtok. she didn't find that amusing for some reason...

wallabies. they are all over ki. millions of them.

a wild koala. one of the main reasons i went to ki. wanted to see them in the wild rather than in a zoo.

after a number of ships were wrecked and lives lost they built a lighthouse.

a cut made to haul supplies up to the lighthouse.
