i made a slight error in the logistics of my AU journey. the plan was to train from adelaide to alice springs and then fly from there to perth. once i was in alice springs i discovered the my plane reservation was for an adelaide to perth flight. oops… so, after $120 change i did fly from alice springs to perth.
after arrival in perth, a very nice city btw, i grabbed a rental car and headed north.
to tell the truth, this gus is actually from central AU. but i put him here to represent all the really neat lizzards i saw in western australia (wa). saw but didn't photograph as they were to fast.
a bark study. just cause you can never have too many.
when i was leaving the car rental place in perth they asked where i was going . i told them, north. they said, hmmmm ya' know they are having a spot of trouble up there withh flooding. indeed. the road north was closed exactly at the location were i was turning off from it. this spot of flooding was the first major flood to hit AU of the season. floodwise, things got much worse. i was always either slightly ahead of the floods. many of the places i went to did flood after i had left.
