So, here’s the skid-resistant road surface.

Each of the little bumps is an individual stone. They lay down about a half inch of tar. Then, each stone is put in place by hand. One stone at a time. Five man crew setting the stones. Four guys drop them in place, one guy with a hammer to set them. There are how many miles like this? Each stone, set, by hand.
