A WW II Moment

I came across an Australian memorial to the Battle of the Coral Sea. It was an important naval battle in that it stopped Japanese momentum for the first time. As a result, Australia was no longer under imminent threat of invasion. The Coral Sea lies between Queensland and the Solomon Islands.
