Some photos from Bunya Mountains NP. The Bunya Pine is a fairly impressive soul. It’s cones are the size if soccer balls and weigh up to 22 pounds. Fortunately I’m a bit early in the season for pine cones, so no football helmet needed.
I’ve never seen bark “sag”. Not sure what the story is there.
