A Kiwi Fav!

There are lots, lots, of one lane bridges in Hobbitland. Many are relatively short in length. Some others, not so much. They appear not only on tertiary side roads but on primary roads as well.

This is one of my favorite flavors…one lane, fairly long, no traffic lights controlling it—just “give way” signs, on the main north/south west coast highway of the South Island, and, to top it off? It’s also the bridge for the railroad. For which, there are no gates or lights—I guess the train just toots.
