Whengarei..

Spent the night here before heading to the big city (Auckland) tomorrow. A nice moderate sized town. Stayed at a holiday park in an en suite room. Very nice owners. Some great folks in the Kiwi population.

The local waterfall. Not much to see, but nice enough. Giant Silver Ferns. And, a Phasmida of some sort. Fellow I met on the trail called it a “stick spider”. Hard to get a good pic of it as it kept rocking back and forth as it walked and even when it stopped walking. Really odd.
