“Jeepneys” are the primary intra-city transport for the masses. They are of dubious construction and maintenance. Run by a driver and a conductor who announces stops, collects fares, advertises. As the day wears on, both are sometimes under the influence of shabu—methamphetamine. (Gotta stay awake somehow…)
