I went to the War Memorial of Korea today. Very good set of displays and free! Lots of large hardware outside. A multimedia presentation inside of the Korean War. Pretty well done, obviously targeting younger patrons. The only criticism I’d have of it was the nomenclature used. It was almost always “ROK and UN Forces”. Which is fine as it was a UN operation, but, and it’s a big “but”, they should have mentioned or acknowledge that the vast majority of UN forces were American. The only place this is clear is in the plaques outside, few visitors, it seems, bother to see them, that list the names of those killed. Of the 56 plaques of UN personal, 47 of them are USA.
