Got the RER from the airport to town and the Metro to Picpus station which is nearest my hotel. Why “Ah, Paris”? First ride on RER? Gypsy beggar woman with a baby wandering the train. First ride on the Metro? A busker with a violin and noise machine. A show with every ride! Ah, Paris…..
