There are plenty of super-malls in Hong Kong with all the high-end stores you can desire. Whenever I been here I tend to stay in a neighborhood that is a little out of the high-end drag.
It’s an interesting place. Here’s a couple of the local shops, a butcher and a fruit & veg vendor. My favorite is this guy with the steel repair/fabrication “shop”. His entire business is as is shown below. He has a “store” that consists of a few shelves that hold his tools and materials. His workshop is the alley between some buildings. He seems to specialize in repair these little pushcarts that are used all over here to get goods into shops, etc. He has a little tin roof to keep most of the water off when it rains.
