Pie?!

Night two at the concrete pie. (Damn auto-correct…at the Concertgebouw.) Music consisted of Mozart’s piano concerto #22 with Emmanuel Ax on keyboard. He’s an old fart these days, but still a master. He did a couple of little encores, something by Rachmaninov and Chopin, I believe. 
During the intermission the stage was reset for Mahler’s 5th symphony. Mahler is the musicians’ union friend. Almost always a very large orchestra with lots and lots of double basses. I’m not a big fan of the 5th, still, it has its moments.
