Night #5 was in the Great Hall and it was pretty darn good. Brahms, Beethoven and Schubert. What’s not to like?
The Beethoven piano concerto was played with a fortepiano and old style French Horns.
Oddly enough the orchestra was standing, save the cellos and double basses for Schubert’s 5th symphony. Evidently, it’s kind of a thing with this piece.
