In 2013 I came to Vienna with the intent to attend a number of concerts. I had 4 days and had bookings for each day. Alas der snitzle had other plans and I spent each of those days wrapped around der toilet.
The only reason for Vienna being on the menu this trip was to hit the concert halls.
Tonight’s venue? Wiener Konzerthaus. The band will play Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. It’s really just 6 cantatas stuck together. Would have preferred something more orchestral, but it’s Bach so just about anything by him is good. We will see.
