Last concert in Budapest. Sibelius and Prokofiev. Also something by, I think, a local composer called “Alabama March.”
The Alabama March was short. (The best part.)
The Prokofiev was his Romeo & Juliet suite. Good. Not, great.
I’m a big fan of all things Sibelius. This was his one and only concerto. Good, not great. The fun part was picking out the Sibelius “signatures” in the piece.
I can see return trips to Budapest for musical purposes.

Have not had great luck at times with seat neighbors. Had a fullback seated next to me. Seen below. I had to lean out into the aisle. After intermission I moved to another seat.
