Had tickets to hear the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Unbeknownst to moi there are several Glenn Miller Orchestras operating around the world under some licensing agreement.
The show was held in the National Palace of Culture. A Soviet Era venue literally across the street from where I’m staying.
The show/music was good. But it could have been great. They performed two sets of big band music from the 30s and 40s. The audience was very receptive — the place was packed, many many thousands. Unfortunately, about 75% of the tunes were in the “All of Me” beat and the other 25% were of the “In the Mood” beat. If they had swapped those percentages they would have brought the house down. The musicians were extremely talented so I suspect it was doable. Nonetheless, well worth the price of admission.
NPK…

Really odd seats…

The Band…

Final beat, taken from the very back of the hall as I was leaving.
