Spainish Night @ MUPA

A nice concert last night in a Spanish theme. A couple of pieces by Ravel and others. The Ravel pieces included Bolero which I’d never heard live before. It’s not a particularly serious piece but it’s fun. Alas, thanks to Bo Derek’s movie of the same name it has become this stand in for something sensual. I think it would be a great introduction to the orchestra for children since it features all the bits and pieces of orchestration in solo.

Broadcast crew. I think the first concert I’ve been to that was going out over the airwaves.
