Wagah Wagah!

Last day in Amritsar and I went to see the Wagah Border Closing Ceremony. Great fun. Several thousand Indians on one side and several hundred Pakistanis on the other. Lots of pomp and flourishes. One interesting note, although its all very ceremonial and costumed, at the border line, one each side, was a guy with an automatic weapon at the ready, fingers just outside the trigger guards. They weren’t part of the ceremony. They were there to start shooting if need be.
