Comet

The first commercial jet aircraft. They had a bad habit of breaking up in mid-air. Engineering was a bit off, the windows were too big and the radius of said windows too tight. After the crashes they pressure tested by flooding a Comet. After so many thousands of pressure cycles, the metal ruptured. Not good. And, plane windows have been small ever since.
