Over the past month I’ve had about a dozen mosquito bites.
Cambodian mosquitos are the stealth aircraft of the mosquito world. Unlike Alaskan mosquitoes these guys are deathly silent. No buzz that I’ve heard. Plus, when they bite there is no pain that I’m aware of.
The east side of the apartment has screen for the windows, all save one that is. The north side however doesn’t. I’m trying some Rube Goldberg screening. I’ve got one covered, we will see if that does the trick or not. I’ve got a plan B, but I need to find some large pieces of cardboard to get that to work.
Meanwhile… Little bastards. Malaria isn’t supposed to be a problem in the city. But, Japanese encephalitis and Denge Fever are known to sometimes occur. Nothing to be done about DF, as there is no vaccine. I’ve not been vaccinated for JE as its supposed to very rare in the city.
