The primary reason I returned to the Red Center was to see “The Devil’s Marbles.” They are located about 400 kms north of Alice Springs. I tried to get to them when I was in the Top End (Darwin area) a number of years ago. But, they were too far to drive to given the time I had left. So, a return to the Red Center was in the cards.
The critter is a Ridge-tailed Monitor.
