I’m on the north end of the North Island. There are tourists everywhere in NZ, but they tend to be less dense up here. Most tourists head to the mountains and there are but hills here. It’s cow country, both “moo cows” and “cow cows.”
It’s also Kauri Tree country. But, more on that later.
