I had to head west today, that went fine. But, coming back east was another matter.
The journeys required a metro transfer at a major station that is adjacent/beneath were the demo/riots were/are taking place.
During the return the transfer station’s air handlers had sucked in tear gas from the now, resumed, protests above. A bit stingy to breath and seemed affect some people more than others.
I’m due to leave tomorrow morning. The question is: do I bag central Santiago tonight and eat the cost of an airport hotel stay, or, do I stay put and assume/hope whatever demonstrations that will happen tomorrow, Saturday, won’t get started before I leave for the airport?
