Opted for the Holiday Inn at the airport. Not so much because of the protests as they policia seem to have them under control — although, I assume a Saturday might be a bigger challenge.
After reading some more on transit times at SCL; the fact that I can’t “print” my boarding pass; and, with the flight leaving at 9:30am, it’s the airport HI for me. Somewhat pricey, but, I have a bunch of IHG points that I can parley to reduce the cost.
