Made it to Easter Island (Rapa Nui) this day.
It was a good thing I stayed at the airport hotel last night as it was a confusion of LATAM reps in the airport. They had me bouncing back and forth. Fortunately, I ignored some of their advice. Otherwise, I’d likely be in the airport hotel for another night.
About 5:30pm and I’m off to find a place to eat. I’ve got tours organized for the next two days. Then I have a car rental and have two days to explore alone. Not that there is enormous distance to explore. The island is triangular, with the sides measuring about 15 miles, 10 miles and 10 miles.
