Went to see the Iguazu Falls. (Iguazu — pronounced “e-wazoo”.) The falls location is split between Argentina and Brazil. I had to get a visa to cross the river into Brazil.
The falls are about 1.5 miles wide comprising some 275 individual drops. It’s impossible to get a single photograph from the ground that shows the entire spectacle, but $500 for a helicopter ride wasn’t in the budget.
The single biggest volume of water goes over at the Devil’s Mouth. It’s an impressive sight. The rest of the falls, over a mile’s worth, I call the Curtain Falls.
