I Made A Brick!

by BDK

Feeling pretty successful today. Managed a couple of nice tramps on tracks in the nearby national park. Stopped in the little touristy town for a late lunch. Walked around same in search of a haircut and Phillips #000 & #00 screwdrivers.

Found a little camera shop and the nice lady sold me said screwdrivers. (Needed for trying to fix the Canon G15 camera that died back on Easter Island.) 👍

Asked the nice lady, well, Google Translate asked, if there was barbershop in town. Just around the corner! Got a decent haircut from a barber for about $12 — same price as Fairbanks.

Headed home bent on a shower and Canon repair.

Shower? 👍

Canon Repair? 👎

Once I split the case it became real obvious that there was just too much rust and gunk. The camera never got rained on, but over the years I’ve had some pretty sweaty tramps in Australia.

So?

I made a brick!

On the silver lining side, my pack has lost weight and volume! So, too, has my head. Things are looking up.
