843 or 390?

On the grounds of the Independence Palace there stands two tanks painted to look like the ones that broke down the gate. Evidently the real hardware is in a museum in Hanoi.

There’s been a debate on which tank entered first. Officially it was 843, a T54. But, then it seems it really was 390, a T59. According to the French photographer who took the photos at the time, 390 was #1.
