Sydney

after a month in new zealand i jetted off to the land of the never never. first stop was sydney for a few days before hitting the open road.

my hotel in sydney's chinatown district. kinda a mid-grade place. but, in a very quite residential neighborhood. about 10 minute walk to george street—the main drag in sydney.
paddy's market on a sunday morning. its the building on the right. inside there are dozens and dozens of vendors all selling everything you can imagine.
inside of the sydney museum. the museum wasn't much to see, but this bit of architecture was pretty good.
down by "The Rocks", a neighborhood in sydney between the bridge and the opera house.
alley in The Rocks.
a walk across the bridge. what an abortion the fencing is. they put it up after 9/11. not sure why. i asked a cop if it was to stop jumpers, he didn't seem to know. UGLY as sin, i know australia was a penal colony, but i wasn't aware that it was necessary to make today's population seem like they were serving time in the Big House.
obligatory pic.
another obligatory photo. thought about doing the bridge climb, but for $190 they can keep their friggin' bridge climb to themselves.

the streets of sydney.
the CBD from across the harbor.
this is for ken. not too many cleveland indians hats visible in australia, but this was one, on george street in downtown sydney!
