Oxley Wild Rivers National Park

by BDK

Oxley Wild Rivers national park. one of the things i wanted to see was a Kookaburra. saw one here. more importantly, heard one here too.

my first Kookaburra.
flowers. throughout AU i seem to be at the right time of the year.
it was a long way down to the river valley.
some species of willow i think. the interesting thing was it was covered in ants. i think the white stuff is some kind of fungus that the ants are farming.
a termite mound with a tree trunk in the middle.
bark study.
i believe this fellow is an australian magpie.
