sooooo.... if you are first one through the gate in the morning before sunrise, and you look like an american, you might get asked if you'd like to raise the flag...
...sometimes it pays to go early.

lourdes. what a zoo this place must be in tourist season. jeeebus on sale on every street corner.
a little town sylvie suggested. every town had at least one merry go-round. it was christmas time. it was odd walking through the streets listening to american christmas songs being played over the loudspeakers. bing crosby was popular.
