DF Design Award (“D” for “Dumb” and the “F” doesn’t stand for “Faucet”)

Very common to find double taps in UK inspired sinks. Funny enough they are even common in Australia which has something a bit of water supply problem in many parts of the country. Usually these are found in older hotels, but not always.

Here, in rainy Edinburg, the place I’m at had what I thought was a mixing faucet. But I presume too much. The pic below shows that, in fact, it has two completely separate outlets. Hot on the left, cold on the right. So….if you are washing your hands you are alternately having you hands scalded and cooled at the same time! Idiotic….
