My airport weather app predicted thunderstorms in Buenos Aires starting at 15:00.
We were due to land at 15:15. Our approach was a bit unusual as we vectored around some cells and then went into a figure 8 holding pattern. With two very tight circles on the first half of the 8 and then reverse banking for the second half.

We snuck in very nicely. Landed, taxied to the terminal and entered a ground stop as the “S” hit the fan with rain, hail, high winds and lightning.
Sat for nearly two hours on the apron waiting for it to be safe enough for the ground crews to venture outside. It was compounded by the PITA of a disembarkation into buses rather than a jetway.
Luckily the driver sent by the hotel waited for me. I gave him a 40% tip.
