From Budapest to Bucharest. Had a sleeper car to myself. Not exactly luxurious, but clean and adequate.
Hungary is part of the Schengen Zone but Romania is not. So at 11pm or so we stopped for the Hungarian border folks to come thru the train to stamp passports followed a bit later for the Romanian border folks to stamp passports. All very Agatha Christie Orient Express like.
High tech something. I didn’t attempt to turn it on out of fear that I wouldn’t be able to turn it off!
