Another day trip from Kraków is the Wieliczka Salt Mine. There are two trips, the tourist route and the miners’ route. I did the former, should have done the latter.
Nonetheless, it was an interesting trip. You go down about 400′ all told. There are a bunch of statues carved from the salt and and various chambers. There’s even a little cafe’ at the 400′ level. I had the pork chop and potatoes.
